Has anyone played with or just seen a Triumph tina or a BSA Sunbeam scooters. I have a chance to pick one of each. I haven't seen them and in storage for years.

Whoa those are some sweet scooters. I just looked them up on Wikipedia as I'd never heard of them before. Supposedly the BSA Sunbeam is the same machine as the Triumph Tigress, so both the Tina and Tigress/Sunbeam were really Triumph machines.

Ya I think he said Tigress but Tina showed up when I searched. It may include a BSA 250cc bike. All have been sitting since the early 70s in his garage. I can't see them until April or so when the garage gets cleared out. He said the BSA bike has a stuck motor from sitting.

So sitting since the 1960-70s. Ownerships currently lost, Keys seem lost to as I didn't see any. The Triumph is a Tina 100cc 2 stroke. The BSA looks to be the 175cc 2 stroke with a manual tranny.

Ok not to revive a dead post but after five plus years the owner just called me out of the blue. Long story short I now own a triumph Tina, BSA Sunbeam and a BSA B25SS. As much as the scooters are really cool I'm not sure I can revive them myself. They do kick over and feel like good compression. Pics when I get home. I didn't intend to buy any of them but he wanted them out. Picking up the scooters Monday morning.

No great pics of Sunbeam until it's out of the dark garage.

I was trying to figure out tune-up parts and found the original service manual.

Doing more surfing for parts. Only info on the Tina so far. Only 3 options for tires. Michelin S83 seems the one. I will be bring a proper digital camera for better pics. Need to find the Vin# and work on ownerships.
