Re: Honda aero transmission bearings

The 6201, 6203 and 6204 bearings are all readily available from Honda ( as well as every bearing supply company). Only the 6202 bearing was the only one that Honda doesn't provide anymore, however every bearing supply company has them readily available. When it comes to bearings that are not marked,...

Re: Honda aero transmission bearings

Most bearings will have a number on either the outer or inner race, that number can be used at most any bearing supply company in most any larger town. Sometimes the Honda parts catalog will also list the inside diameter, outside diameter and width, or you could just measure yours, with those dimens...

Re: Where do you buy parts? (Metropolitan)

Maybe I have the wrong city Atlanta, but google seems to think there are three Honda motorcycle dealers in your area. Also you can use Babbits online to locate the part number and price to what you need first before shopping. https://www.babbittsonline.com It just seems logical that Honda parts are ...

Re: 1989 Honda elite inlet pipe

CMSNL is a great company, bought many pistons, rings and gaskets from them. They are knowledgeable and the shipping time ( pre covid) was very good considering they are in the Netherlands.

Re: Need a 150cc engine for my 87 Honda Elite 150.

Every engine I have bought from Ebay has turned out to be good, but then again I contacted the sellers prior to purchase to confirm the condition each time. Pretty easy to bore the cylinder and install oversize piston on a 150. I have a local scooter shop that does high quality cylinder boring with ...

Re: 87' Aero 50 CVT Slipping / Grabbing

You could have taken the variator apart, removed belt and disassembled all secondary components, in the time it took you to type your request. This CVT is a simple system, your bike is 33 years old, needs regular maintenance, needs belts regularly, and change the transmission gear oil a couple times...

Re: Honda Elite 150D Headlight won't close

The wire diagram is your friend, without it, you are just guessing. It is far too complex for me to describe how to diagnose electrical issues using my keyboard. The key items are the limit switches, relays and motor. Yes some signal, voltage, ground, or continuity is missing. My suggestion is to lo...

Re: Scooter Recommendations

I have owned many scooters, and that includes two Aero 125's , two Elite 150 and one Elite 250. The Elite 250 would be my first choice if buying an older used scooter. Super reliable, about 66 mpg, top speed of 76 and very little maintenance required. I loved the Aero 125's but not all that fast and...

Re: 86 elite 150 Deluxe speedometer

Did you measure the reed switch with an ohmeter, to determine if the switch opens and closes the circut ? You could probably cobble up another Honda scooter speedometer to fit, but then you have a hacked up mess. Why not correctly diagnose the issue, source out whatever part you need, either new or ...

Re: 86 elite 150 Deluxe speedometer

There is a reed switch inside the speedometer, it used to be available separately, the odometer is mechanical and should register some distance if you spin the cable long enough. The reed switch is replaceable separately, but unfortunately it is no longer available. Here is a link and the reed switc...

Re: 1995 Honda elite 80 wont start

You have succeeded in saving money, this is a great victory, success is yours, however the goal was to get the scooter running. There is a Honda dealership in every major city, they have factory trained mechanics, who have spent thousands of dollars on tools and education. Perhaps you could get a jo...

This is an eight year old post, very unlikely he even has scooters anymore, much less that he follows this forum.

Best I could find was 1989, rather hard to find 35 year old accessories. http://www.motorscooterguide.net/Brochu ... es1989.pdf
