2009 Beverly 500-Right for a newish rider who's tall and heavy?

Hi guys,

First post here on MS Guide. I am looking to get a scooter and was looking for a 250-350 cc to start, so I can potentially tour a little bit in northern california.

I recently came across a 2009 BV 500 for sale for $2500. It has about 13K miles on it but seems fine to look at at and rode great on a test drive. According to owner, it has had a good amount of work done to replace drive belt, steering bearings and brake pads.

It feels like a good deal and I REALLY enjoyed the test drive.

Any BV 500 owners out there with knowledge about this bike? Good for a newish rider? Any concerns to ask about?
