Will start riding my Ninja 250 to work starting this spring(2009) ive wanted to get some seat time in before I tried commuting on it this year. But I will need a decent tailbag as I work in Law Enforcement it needs to be able to hold stuff like a Duty Belt, possibly lunch, a jacket and or pullover pants. A tank bag is just too small for that stuff. Im gonna be a fairweather rider so even though its nice being “waterproof” is not that big a deal to me. This will be a Christmas Present idea for my wife so I need to keep it $70 or less..preferably less. Plus it will help me be able to bring stuff home when shopping and also help carry stuff when I go fishing..plan to do a lot of riding this coming year!

I got a hands on look at it last weekend at the local Fun Bike Center and it looked big enough to hold a fair amount of stuff, especially with the expansion pockets opened. This is the one I will be getting in the near future for my commute to work (just started last week – third time tomorrow morning) . Oh yeh, it can also be expanded to include optional saddlebags for those longer trips.
Here is a link to it on New Enough…

Here’s some info on the Ninja 250 site on tail bags..

I just put everything in a backpack.

You don’t have to mess around when you get on or off the bike and you never have to worry that it’s going to fall off.
