To me, 'after new years' implies any time after Dec. 31st. So technically any time between now and the end of time would satisfy that promise

In 2007, CMG was a bit slow in updating the site as well. I wanted them to update the riders list every few days so I could see who's registered, how many riders so far and what sort of scooters. They only updated it twice the entire 2-3 months leading up to the rally though. It's no biggie but it would be cool to see the riders list develop.

The forum will hopefully be back again this year. That was fun two years ago.

There was 4 scooters in 2004, 12 in 2005 and 56 in 2007. So the participation is up 400% each time. If that happens again there will be around 220 scooters 8-)

yeah I'm totally in for the rally. I'm hoping to have my own scooter by then, but if I don't I'll ride Tara's Vespa out to Ontario. Riding the Vespa out would probably be more reliable though....if I ride an '85 Honda for 4500kms I might break down and not make the rally....either way I'll certainly be attempting a journey across Canada to attend the rally. It should be epic.

i pumped....a new '09 logo? Awesome!

I think we can talk about our plans fairly openly on this site as I doubt it's highly frequented by MBSR participants. I think we have 12 registered members right now and only 2 of them are people I haven't met in real life.

The trip to Ontario is about 4500kms. On Tara's Vespa the top speed is about 95km/hr so I could probably do the whole trip fairly comfortably in 5 days. If I buy a 50cc Honda and mod that to do about 40mph then I could probably only cover 600km/day. That would be about 7-9 days. If I did any further then the MBSR would actually be less miles than my daily average so it wouldn't seem like much of a endurance rally.

Another option is that I could finance a new Yamaha BWS 125. On paper this scooter makes a lot of sense but I'm worried that it will lack personality like the CBR125 did. It might just be a little too fast....
