Yamaha Riva Trunk

Post by Craig »

The Yamaha trunk on my Riva 200 is locked, and the PO didn't have the key. Does anyone know how to open, and maybe send/post a picture of the key? Thanks.

Wow, a stock Yamaha trunk... nice.

I suggest talking to your local Yamaha dealer as that looks like a proprietary key... not something your local locksmith can make up for you.

Good luck !!

P.S. I'd love to see some pics of your Riva 200 !!
A bad day working on my scooter is better than a good day at work ??

It could be very useful but I'm not sure that it can fit on my jog pro 90cc!

It's a magnetic lock. Try using a strong magnet while you turn it with needle nose pliers. Otherwise the Yamaha p/n for the lock assembly is 33A2178050 if you want to replace it.

I have the same exact problem. Is there a part number for what I assume is a generic type of key for this?
